My Bio
I started in the comic book industry back in 1994 as a penciler for Vortex Comics doing NASCAR autobiographies. When the industry imploded, I switched to advertising and graphic design. 20 years later, I want to give it another shot but this time, with my own stories. I'm a slow illustrator so I'd rather hire faster and better artists than me. And if they are Filipino, even better. I am currently working with a comic publishing company in producing an anthology using primarily Pinoy artists, hopefully in time for the 2014 Con Season here on the East Coast (US). As I embark on resurrecting my career as a Comic Book creator, I thought it would be a good idea to have a vision/mission statement to guide me and keep me focused. So here goes.
1. To tell the stories that have been knocking about in my head and keeping me up at night all my life.
2. To promote cultural diversity in the stories that I write and the people with whom I collaborate.
3. To bring indy/alternative comics to the mainstream public (People who don't usually read comics).
What's not mentioned, but I believe goes without saying, is to produce GREAT WORK!! (and hopefully make a living)
